## About the New B Corp Standards

B Lab has introduced a new B Corp standard that replaces the previous points-based model with mandatory requirements across multiple impact areas including governance, environment, climate, labor, human rights, and JEDI. Small businesses recertifying or certifying for the first time need clearer policies, stronger evidence, and more intentional implementation across their operations. The new standard emphasizes progress over perfection and accountability over score-chasing.

The New Standard Circle at Decade Impact exists specifically to help small businesses understand, implement, and confidently navigate this transition.
